Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the selective alteration of classifying point and separating specific weight point by varying overflow pressure in negative siphon provided in overflow pipe by sucking air in siphon properly.
CONSTITUTION: The supply pipe 3 extending from the slurry stoeage tank 1 is connected to the tangential supply port 5 of the hydrocyclone 4, and the check valve 8 is provided to the lower part of the underflow spigot 7 of the tapered cylinder 6. And, the overflow pipe 10 is connected with the inverse U-shaped negative siphon 11 and its bent portion is provided with the air inlet regulation valve 16. Thus, by varying selectively the suction negative pressure of the negative pressure siphon by the air inlet regulation valve 16, classifying points and separating specific weight points related to the kinds of supply slurry A, the concentration of separated recovered sludge D, and the clarification degree of separated waste water B can be altered selectively to fixed ones, permitting the solid-liquid separation of slurry to be performed flexibly.
