Abstract

PURPOSE: To simultaneously form a plurality of plates of glass fiber-reinforced resin via films in adjacent plates, by paying off a plurality of films such as to be moved initially downwardly, subsequently horizontally and finally downwardly again, coating both surfaces of the inner films and the inner surfaces of the outer films with a mixture of a resin while the films are in their initial downward movement, supplying glass fibers onto the mentioned layers of resin mixture while the films are in their subsequent horizontal movement, and putting the resulting films together while the films are in their final downward movement.

CONSTITUTION: Films 1 are payed off downwardly in an initial stage to coat a resin mixture 2 on both surfaces of the inner films and inner surfaces of the outer films, and then supply glass fibers 4 onto the resin mixture while the films are moved horizontally in the second stage. All of these films are then put together in a final stage to be pressed against one another by impregnation rolls 5. As a result, a plurality of plates of glass fiber-reinforced resin are obtained simultaneously via the adjacent films. When resin mixtures 2 of different colors are coated on the inner and outer surfaces of the films 1, multicolor glass fiber-reinforced plates can be formed at once continuously.
