Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve ventilating capability and to prevent counterflow caused by the strong wind by a method wherein the vane that follows wind direction is furnished at the top of the ventilating pipe and the ventilating nozzle is provided so that its opening is directed leeward.
CONSTITUTION: The vane that follows wind direction is furnished at the top of the ventilating pipe 1 which is furnished for exhausting into an open air the waste air from a draining oil extraction tank, which accept draining oil from the shaft sealing device of hydrogen cooled rotary machine. The vane is consiting of the ventilating tube 16 which pivots freely with the bearing 18 at the top of the outdoor ventilating pipe 1, and the guiding vane 19 and nozzle 17 which is attached to the ventilating tube 16, and by this construction the exhaust opening of nozzle 17 pivots leeward. Thus improvement of ventilation capability due to the draw-out effect of the wind is obtained and it is possible to prevent counterflow into the ventilating pipe in spite of strong wind.
