Abstract
PURPOSE:To promote the molding efficiency and reduce the weighting error for preventing ill-molding by giving compression-molding to granulated materials mainly of argentous and argentic oxide soaked with water soluble acrylic resin. CONSTITUTION:Granulated materials 4 mainly of argentous and/or argentic oxide soaked with water soluble acrylic resin are provided for filling a compression mold 3'. After being estimated by the levelling of a scraper 1' at the top, materials are processed by compression molding for obtaining an electrode. Granulated materials 4 are provided, for example, by a process in which silver oxide powder, the main component, is pressed into a board by a roller or the like, and after being broken into a fixed grain size, obtained materials are soaked in the water solution of water soluble acrylic resin and dried. The grain size of the granulated materials is preferably selected in 43-246mu, while the content of water soluble acrylic resin in 2- 4wt% of granulated materials with converted into solid matters. This construction serves to improve the work efficiency of molding and reduce weighting errors for preventing ill-molding.
