Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain stable operation even under high temperature, by forming any one of rotary member or sliding member with ceramic while placing a spring between them such that their tapered sections contact continuously.
CONSTITUTION: The rotary member 1 is formed with proper ceramic and tapered sections 1a, 1b constituting the rotary sliding face are formed. While the sliding member 2 combined with the rotary member 1 and supported rotatably is formed with metal, and a tapered section 2a contacting with said tapered section 1a is formed in the inside. The tapered section 6a of pressure ring 6 is pressure contacted against the tapered section 1b of rotary member 1 by means of a spring 5 mounted through a spacer ring 4 stopped by a clip 3. Since the difference of thermal expansion between rotary member 1 and sliding member 2 can be absorved by the spring 5, stable operation is assured even under high temperature.
