Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a composition having excellent surface wave temperature property and reduced propagation loss of surface wave by adding desired amount of cerium oxide or praseodymium oxide and manganese oxide to lead oxide and titanium oxide.
CONSTITUTION: Adding 1.0 to 7.2 mol% of at least one of cerium oxide and praseodymium oxide, and 0.2 to 1.6 mol% of manganess oxide or manganese oxide and indium oxide to 38.7 to 48.0 mol% of lead oxide and 48.5 to 52.7 mol% of titanium oxide. Whereby a piezoelectric ceramic composition having excellent surface wave temperature property and reduced propagation loss of surface wave can be obtained.
