Abstract

PURPOSE: To seperate and revover continuously and efficiently aluminum wires from a steel reinforced aluminum cable by having said cable pass through a die provided with cutters symmetrically arranged therein and cutting only aluminum wire in longitudinal direction.
CONSTITUTION: A special die for having a steel reinforced aluminum cable (ACSR) 3 which is pulled out with tension from a spool 1 pass therein is provided, said die having cutters symmetrically arranged around said ACRS to cut only aluminum wire to pieces which are then dropped into a container 8 by a scraper die 7 while the steel core wire 3b is wound on a winding spool 2 thereby providing a efficient means to continuously separate and recover aluminum wires and a steel core wire.
