Abstract

PURPOSE: To smooth the movement of moving lens groups for zoom, by slidably fitting the supporting frame of moving lens group for zoom to the inner and outer sides of a stationary lens barrel.
CONSTITUTION: A supporting sleeve 4 is slidably fitted to the outside of a stationary lens barrel 1 mounted on a camera, and the arm thereof is projected into the stationary lens barrel 1 through a cam groove 12 which penetrates through the stationary lens barrel 1, thereby securing a first moving lens group for zoom Z1. At the same time, a supporting ring 9 to which is secured a second moving lens group for zoom Z2 is slidably fitted to the inside of the stationary lens barrel 1. In this setting, when an operating ring 3 is moved back and forth, the supporting sleeve 4 rotates along the cam groove 12 through balls 5, and the supporting ring 9 also turns along the cam groove 14 through the engagement of the cam groove 13 and pin 10. Thus, without risk of collision of the supporting sleeve 4 and the supporting ring 9, the variable power may be possible in a wide range.
