Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize performance of musical tunes or the like through program input in a simple constitution, by successively storing the sound information and end information according to key operations, and controlling generation and stopping of sound.

CONSTITUTION: Pitch signals generated by a key unit KU through key operations according to the pitch of musical notes are stored in a buffer register through an encoder EC₁. Then, when an address counter P is counted up, the contents in a register (n) are stored in a sound pitch register XA of a register X. In consequence, by the next count-up of the counter P, the pitch code in the register XA is written in the specified address in a pitch memory YB of a program memory Y. Also, the time value codes and end codes stored in registers XA, XB by the key operations according to the musical time value are written in the specified address in a time value memory YA, so that a desired musical tune is stored in the program. By reading the storage in the memory Y and controlling a gate GV, a program performance is carried out through sound sources V₁ to V₁₂ corresponding to the tune.
