Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible making of reference intervals of high accuracy with low power by frequency-multiplying the output of a crystal oscillator and performing frequency division with specified frequency dividing ratios.
CONSTITUTION: A crystal oscillator 1 outputs the signal of 32768Hz. The signal twice this is created in a frequency multiplying circuit 2 and is then divided down by 149 in an exclusive-OR circuit 3, whereby 439.839Hz approximate to a reference interval 440Hz is obtained. This signal is lower by 0.64cent as compared to 440Hz but its error is within 1 cent and it may be used as an accurate signal.
