PURPOSE:To economize capital and operating costs by optimal selection of the composition of furonic compound coolant, the delivery pressure of a compressor and outlet pressure of an expansion valve. CONSTITUTION:Furonic coolant is used in this process. In the pre-compression stage, compound coolant gases including R12 furonic coolant and R13 furonic coolant are set at a composition containing 40 to 70 volume percent of R12 furonic coolant at a final coolant evaporation temperature of minus 50 deg. to minus 70 deg.C, with the delivery pressure of a compressor 31 set at 7-14 kg/cm<2> and the outlet pressure of the expansion valve 37 at 0 to 1 kg/cm<2>. Therefore, a single coolant compressor 31 can operate two-way mixed coolant and desired coolant evaporation temperature is obtained at a delivery pressure below normal level without making the intake pressure of the coolant compressor 31 negative.
