Abstract

PURPOSE:To make passible the measurement of the light intensity accurately without difficulty of correctly monitoring the light intensity entering the dispersing element, by using an acousto-optical filter as the dispersing element. CONSTITUTION:A multispectral light 6 from a light source 1 is intensified in an intermediate optical system 2 to be transformed into parallel beams, and enters an acousto-optical filter 3, which is a dispersing element. The filter 3 transmits the light by dividing into a diffracted light 7 corresponding to the frequency generated from a filter driving circuit 5, and a nondiffracted light 8 which does not satisfy the conditions of diffraction. Since the incident light 6 is divided into diffracted light 7 and nondiffracted light 8 and the light intensity may be measured independently, the spectral light may be measured precisely, by finding and monitoring the sum of the light intensities of diffracted light 7 and nondiffracted light 8 with respect to the changes in the light intensity due to fluctuations in the light source or deviation of discharging column and optical system through a computer circuit.
