Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a chain to be strained (or tensioned) from outside of a precipitation pond by providing inside of the precipitation pond with a hydraulic cylinder for driving a take-up shaft and also by installing a hydraulic cylinder- operating hydraulic pump on sewage.
CONSTITUTION: A flight conveyor 2 for a mud-raking operation is equipped with endless-shaped chains 3 at its both ends sumberged in a precipitation pond 1, and flights are arranged between these chains 3 at equal intervals. A take-up shaft 1 is also arranged at one side on the bottom of this precipitation pond 1. A bearing 11 to be operated by a hydraulic cylinder 12 is fixed at an adjusting position by means of a clutching mechanism A provided between a supporting frame 10 and the bearing 11. Since this has such a mechanism in which a hydraulic pump 14 for operating a hydraulic cylinder 12 is provided on sewage in the precipitation pond 1, tensioning of the chains 3 of the conveyor 2 can be operated from the top of the sewage. And further, even at the time when back pressure of the cylinder 12 decreased after adjustment of tension of the chain 3, loosening of the chain 3 can be prevented.
