Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable stable disconnection detection and transmit analog data securely to the computer, by connecting the thermocouple to a detecting circuit through a relay.
CONSTITUTION: Mercury relays 5, 6 are changed over at specified timing. When a thermocouple 4 is disconnected, no curent flows through the relays 5, 6, and a disconnection detecting circuit 7 operates. As a result, a photo coupler 9 is coupled, so that a disconnection detecting signal is held in a decoder circuit 10. This signal inhibits a gate 11 which outputs the data from an AD converter 3 into the computer. Only a sine bit corresponding to minus overflow signal is sent out as a true value into the computer, and the disconnection of the thermocouple is determined.
