Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a solar position detecting memory unit that detects and records solar positions automatically by digital data treatment of solar noises received by the radar.
CONSTITUTION: Information caught by antenna A of the radar is received and made into pictures by the radar receiver REC. Video amplifier VA amplifies the said pictures, and LPF extracts required pictures. Slicer SR causes only the pictures which have required voltage values or above, out of pictures which have passed through the LPF, to pass through it as signals. Gate circuit G repeats radar pulses according to the output video signals from SR. Buffer registers BR1 and BR2 use, as inputs, the outputs of input registers IR1 and IR2 concerning azimuth data and elevation data of the radar respectively. The buffer registers are controlled by the output of circuit G to read the contents of IR1 and IR2 respectively, and output them to the succeeding stage. The CPU uses, as inputs, the outputs of BR1 and BR2, and is controlled by the output of circuit G to read the contents of BR1 and BR2, the CPU compares the contents with signal SG for standard time, etc., which has been read simultaneously, thereby making the contents into prescribed formats and printing them on the digital printer D.
