Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain the rate of scooping-up always constant through easy liquid level controlling by so setting the vertical distance from the liquid level up to the position where a liquid holding member makes contact to other member that it becomes larger at the non-supplying of liquid than at the supplying thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The vertical distance (h) from the liquid level up to the position where a scooping-up felt 8 and a coating roller 11 contact shifts from h2 to h1 and according to shifting from the state where the scooping-up felt 8 is statically saturated by silicone oil to the state where it is saturated while scooping up the silicone oil, the vertical distance (h) changes in such a manner as to maintain the rate of scooping-up alwsys constant as shown in formula I. In some instance, the entire part of the device causes temperature rise by receiving the heat from a fixing roller 12. However, as is evident from the formula I, the decrease in viscosity coefficient η induces a decrease in fall l, i.e., an increase in the vertical distance (h). In this way, with respect to the feed rate of silicone oil, the vertical distance acts so as to maintain the feed rate Q constant by buffering the change of the viscosity coefficient η.
