Abstract
PURPOSE:To enlarge the attenuation of an unneeded wave by constituting an isolator, which operates as an isolator within a narrow-band frequency range and as a usual transmission line without it, in a microwave-band circuit. CONSTITUTION:Strip-line type transmission line 5 equipped with signal input plug 3 and signal output plug 4 and strip-line type resonator 1 arranged closely to transmission line 5 are both provided. Then, ferrimagnetic material 2 is arranged in the vertical direction of the surface of resonator 1, thereby building the isolator on earth conductor 6. In the direction of arrow HDC or its opposite direction, a DC magnetic field is applied externally to the part of ferrimagnetic material 6. Making use of the anisotropy of ferrimagnetic material 6, this circuit allows resonator 1 to absorb the propagation of a micro-wave band signal only within the narrow-band frequency range and eliminates the influence of resonator 1 without that, thereby enlarging the attenuation of unneeded waves.
