Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise the stability of steering, by applying a steering instruction from an operating mechanism to a steering unit and shifting the steering operation of the steering unit through a shifting mechanism and rotating running wheels through transmission mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:The steering unit 13 and a steering speed reducer 3 of the operating mechanism E are provided on the chassis A. A steering wheel 1 is coupled to the input shaft 3a of the speed reducer 3. The input shaft 12 of the unit 13 is connected to the output shaft 6 of the speed reducer. The output shafts 101, 111, 122, 131 of the steering unit 13 are connected to the transmission mechanisms B1, B2, B3, B4, respectively. The lever 14 of the shifting mechanism F for shifting the steering operation of the steering unit 13 is connected to a shifting shaft 20 through a shaft 16. The rotation of the steering wheel 1 is trnsmitted to the running wheels 109, 121, 129, 141 through the input shaft 12, a shaft 33 and the transmission mechanisms B1, B2, B3, B4.
