Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a filter's surface condition and filtration properties to be controlled by providing a layer of magnetic material on the porous surface (of the filter) or in its inside and also by forming a film (or coating) of high polymer on the surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a porous body 1, having in its inside magnetic fine particles 2 and a flow passage 3, is provided with an adsorbing layer 4 containing magnetic particles or slim pieces 5 and further provided with a layer 6 of high polymer chemicals. The layer 6 is provided in advance with a porous film and joined onto the layer 4 by an adhesive or fusion or aprayed in fluid state to form a joined layer. In other words, this layer 6 is to be used for protecting the surface and therefore this protective layer 6 can be reasily removed depending on type of the filtering process. In this way, it is possible to readily change the layer surface condition according to application and usage. And this method enables a filter to be utilized for many applications and, at the same time, it is possible to improve filtration properties of a filter.
