Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a gap in a motor from being out of order and to improve startability by forming a notch at an extremity opposite to a heat welded part of a casing and by absorbing expansion at the time of fixing a refrigerant pipe at the notched part. CONSTITUTION:A pipe fixing bore 19 is pitted at an inserting part of an enclosing casing 10. A refrigerant pipe 20 is inserted through this pipe fixing bore 19 and plunged forcibly into a cylinder 18, which are respectively conducted into a cylinder chamber. Then, the refrigerant pipe 20 is fixed onto the upper part case 11 of the enclosing casing 10 by heat welding, such as silver soldering. A shallow notch 22 is formed at the upper extremity of a lower case 12. This notch 22 is formed at the position opposite to a heating part, such as the pipe fixing bore 19 extending in the circumferential direction. Thus, this notch 22 facilitates to absorb heated expansion due to heating when welding, such as silver soldering, and to prevent influence of heated expansion from spreading to a supporting frame 15.
