Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the squeezing effect by supporting the bearing via a plurality of oil films formed between bearing base and housing.
CONSTITUTION: An annular space is formed between the outer wall of a housing 1 and the inner wall of a bearing base 12, and a ring-like partition member 18 dividing the space into inside and outside chambers 16 and 17 is secured via a plurality of spacers 19. Pressurized oil supplied from an oil supply port 21 is led from an oil groove 22, through an outer chamber 17 and holes 20 into an inner chamber 16 to form two oil layers between housing 15 and oil rceiving base 14. With the squeeze effect of these films vibrations of a rotative shaft 13 transmitted to the housing 15 through steel balls 14 are widely reduced to alleviate impact force acting upon the steel balls 14.
