Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible testing of high frequency range with a small size by connecting two pistons of testing cylinders in mutually opposite directions to the piston of an exciting hydraulic cylinder to balance static loads thereby acting varying oil pressures to both sides of the exciting piston.
CONSTITUTION: The inside of respective oil chambers 33a, 34a of testing cylinders 33, 34 is held at the same pressure and the piston 32 of an exciting hydraulic cylinder 31 goes still by receiving the compressive forces in mutually opposite directions by the oil pressures acting upon the pistons 35, 36 of the cylinders 33, 34. In this state, the operating signal of the specified mode is excited from an oscillator 50. When inputted with the operating signal, a servo valve 47 supplies or discharges hydraulic operating fluid to or from the two oil chambers 31a, 31b of the cylinder 31. Hence, the pistons 35, 36 are moved forward and backward by the varying oil pressures controlled by the valve 47 acting on both sides of the piston 32 in a balanced state as the static oil pressures from accumulation tanks 40, 41 act. Vibration dynamic characteristic test may be readily performed, vibrations are made under small oil perssures and the apparatus may be miniaturized.
