Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain high accuracy readily through simple adjustment by subjecting the pulses corresponding to beat output frequencies to interrupt temperature compensation during operation of a timer in the standard signal circuit for watches. CONSTITUTION:A circuit 3 outputs the beat signals of the outputs of crystal oscillators 1, 2. A frequency divider 4 divides down the output frequency of the circuit 3. A timer 5 is reset and started by the outputs of the frequency divider 4. A pulse interrupt circuit 7 directs the pulses corresponding to the output frequencies of the circuit 3 to a time display mechanism 10 via interrupt divider 9 through a circuit 8. The axis of ordinate of the graph indicates frequency change rates and the axis of abscissa temperatures. The curves 11, 12 respectively indicate the temperature characteristics of crystal oscillators 1, 2. The curve 13 indicates the temperature changes of the beat output frequencies of the circuit 3 and 14 indicates the squared curves of 13. 15 is the curve of 14 multiplied by a coefficient and 16 is the sum of 15 and 11, becoming flat characteristics. Hence, temperature compensation is accomplished and high accuracy readily obtained.
