Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an electric cleaner, in which a reciprocally rotatable, vane- like wall is provided in a cylindrical dust collecting case, and dust is collected while being compressed between said vane-like and stationary wall in the dust collecting case, whereby a large amount of dust can be collected and compressed efficiently.

CONSTITUTION: In dust collecting case 6, there is provided a vane-like wall 18 which extends radially outwards from the center of rotation and can be reciprocally rotatable along the inner surface 17 of dust collecting case. At the time of dust collecting operation of cleaner, wall 18 is turned counterclockwise with operation of control section 21 while it is held in contact with stationary wall 22. Resultantly. dust collected in the case 6 is compressed between the vane-like wall 18 and stationary wall 22. Further, a projection is provided at a portion on the inner surface 17 of case 6, so that top of the wall 18 may come into contact with the projection. By the contact of this projection and the top of wall 18, intermittent impact is applied to the inner surface 17 of case 6 so that fine dust attached to the inner surface 17 can be detached therefrom. Further, arrangement is such that suction surface 14 is also turned with turning of wall 18, so as to cause vibration of filter 15 and thus to recover its dust collecting function.
