Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent unauthorized passing of vehicles, by recording encoding information by using a card with mangetic stripe parts, and performing operations of ticket issuing, checking and attendance card preparation in one set of collecting device by connecting each operation unit thereto.
CONSTITUTION: When used as a ticket distributor, a ticket issuing unit is connected to terminal 53A. Encoding information is recorded in the magnetic stripe parts provided in a card through a head 70B, and the content thereof is checked. When the content is normal, the card is discharged into a tray 75. A ticket checking unit is connected to terminal 53B to use as a ticket checker. In this case, when a ticket is charged into an inlet 77, the encoded information of the card is read by a head 70A, and the amount of toll is displayed, and the encoded information at the interchange is recorded by the head 70B. Necessary items are printed in the ticket. Finally, when using as an attendance card compiler (connected to terminal 53C), by charging the attendance card, the encoded information is read, written and checked, then necessary items are printed.
