Abstract

PURPOSE: To enlarge measurement range so as to permit measurement of large dose as well by constituting such circuits which do not affect with each other by the combination use of a current integration method and the use of a photon counting method.
CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is provided with a photo electron multiplier 7 which detects thermoluminescence, a pulse amplifier 11 which separates and amplifies pulse signals from the output signal thereof and a DC amplifier 15. The upper limit of the band of the pulse amplifier 11 is restricted hy the band fc of the amplifier itself and the lower limit by a frequency 1/2πR2C1. The upper limit of the DC amplifier 15 becomes 1/2πR1C1. The signal source impedance for the amplifier 15 becomes the parallel impedances of R1 and C1 and becomes high impedance with respect to low frequency, thus the insulation resistance of C1 prevents R2 from affecting the DC components. For the amplifier 11, the input impedance is only R2 and R3 prevents the input capacity of the amplifier 15 from giving influence. Hence, the two amplifiers do not interfere with each other to one photo electron amplifier and the DC components and pulse components may be selectively amplified.
