Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure an early correction of the shift for the print position by increasing the number of the sensor to detect the head position and ensuring an accurate position detection at all times with reduced number of the circuit parts and adjustement even under printing.
CONSTITUTION: The printer uses pulse motor 11 which shifts the print head right and left according to the number of the print digit while collating the value of counter 12 which indicates the print position. In such printer, sensor 22 is installed between sensor 21 to set up the initial position and sensor 23 which is set to the maximum print position of the print digit number. The output of sensor 22 and 23 is applied to gate circuit 14 and 15 along with the output of decoder 13 to decode the value of counter 12, and the output of circuit 14 and 15 is applied to arithmetic circuit 17 via FF16. In case no coincidence is obtained between the output of counter 12 and the head position detected through sensor 22 and 23, the comparison and calculation is given between the counter value and the data shown by sensor 22 and 23. And the arithmetic result is fed back to pulse motor 11 to indicate the correction for the print position.
