Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain safe and sanitary water by a water purifier for long time by providing translucent layers at the rear and preferably at the front and the rear of the adsorber layer in the purifier to thereby purify water for water works so as to remove not perferable substances and to prevent bacteria from breeding.

CONSTITUTION: There are provided translucent layers 2, 4 for prohibiting to pass general bacteria, fine particles, high polymer substances, etc. at the water outgoing side and preferably at the water incoming and outgoing sides of the adsorber layer 3 such as activated carbon, ion exchange resin or the like in a water purifier. The translucent material includes cellulose acetate group, polyacrylonitrile group, etc. The translucent layer is composed preferably of a bundle of hollow yarn-like translucent membranes of large filterning area per unit volume at the water incoming side and of hollow yarn-like translucent membrane at the water outgoing side. This purifier is attached to the faucet 1 of water works to precisely filter the water through the layer 2, to remove calc, hard contents, etc. through the layer 3, and to prevent bacteria from entering through the layer 4.
