Abstract

PURPOSE: To execute high sensitive detection of burner ignition in a device with detects ignition and flame with one electrode, by reversing the phase of flame current to that of discharge current, so that the flame current may not be affected by the discharge current.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage or pulse current from a pulse generating circuit consisting of a diode D 11, a resistor R 12, a capacitor C 13 and a thydac 14 is increased by a pulse transformer 4 and the current is discharged between a discharge electrode 3 and a burner 2: on the other hand, commercial AC power source 8 is insulated by a transformer 7 and its secondary current is applied from the electrode 3 to the burner 2 via C 5, R 6 and the pulse transformer 4. Flame current fenerated by flame flows through 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 1 and 2 in the direction from the electrode 3 to the burner 2. This DC voltage is detected by a comparator 23 and outputted as combustion signals, wherein said D 11 is set in the circuit in the direction shown in the drawing, i.e., in the contrary direction to conventional ones.
