Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the complicated material flow in the dies and to obtain the seamless ribbed double pipe with light weight and good strength, by setting the mandrel passing through the pressure plate, billet, and dies hole.
CONSTITUTION: The billet 24 of aluminum-alloy, etc., is held in the container 20; the mandrel 21 is passed through the open hole 22 of the pressure plate 23 so as to pierce the center of the billet 24, and then, the mandrel 21 is passed through the dies hole 8 and is set there. The hollow stem 25 is moved forward so as to extrude the billet 24 through the plural number of entrance ports 4 of the die mandrel 9, and through the gap between the mandrel 21 and the dies hole 8 of the die mandrel 9; hereby, the billet 24 flows into the compound chamber 10 and is combined into one body, and then, is continuously extruded through the gap between the dies hole 11 of the die cap 12 and the core part 6 of the die mandrel 9, and through the plural number of slits 5 of the core part 6. According to this method, can be obtained the ribbed double pipe safely available for the usage loaded by internal pressure and compression force.
