Abstract

PURPOSE:An internal combustion engine ignition system capable of readily obtaining desired ignition performance as well as of obtaining signal voltage less in noise by facilitating the structure. CONSTITUTION:When a charge coil 1 is excited by a permanent magnet 15 with use of rotation of a rotor 14 interlocked with rotation of an engine, alternating current output is generated, the positive side of this output is rectified by a diode 21 and charged into a capacitor 3. This electric charge has a rectifier 8 with control poles conducted by signal voltage to be generated when negative voltage has been generated at the charge coil 1, which is discharged, high voltage is applied through an ignition coil 4 onto an ignition plug 7, to generate sparks. In this case, series connection with the change coil 1 is done by forming a dynamo 9 which is connected to a gate of said rectifier 8 and generates ignigion signals with use of a resistor having the capacity of giving output preliminarily matching with ignition timing of the engine.
