Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the positioning via the common mechanism even for the different kinds of rim bands by switching the positioning in accordance with the size of the band.
CONSTITUTION: Position regulator mechanism 37 is provided to guide 18 and 19, tightening head shift part 25, and switch part 36 of lug holder 11 respectively. In mechanism 37, air cylinder 34 and 35 featuring the necessary shift amount are linked together. And three kinds of shift amount are caused by the function switch of the cylinders, and the positioning is regulated through the electric switch of the shift amount according to the size of CRT. The height of the tension band tightening can be varied based on the types of CRT which switches valve holder 24, 39 and 40 via rotary cylinder 41. Thus, the tightening becomes possible for several kinds of CRT with just one unit of the cylinder. Furthermore, a high residual stress can be obtained effectively at the band after tightening if the automatic tightening head and the band heater instead of the band tool.
