Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect the stable auto-reverse control with the use of a circuit having less capacitors by effecting the mode change after the mode condition is stored under the set condition of FF which is reset after a desired delay time.

CONSTITUTION: By the discharge of a capacitor 108 which has its charge stopped by a reel rotation detector 105 at the end of a tape, FF 75 to 77 are set through an FF 73 so that the operating modes such as the play, fast forward and rewinding operations are stored in accordance with the condition of a drive circuit. As a result, the decoder, which is constructed of NOR gate 90 to 95 to generate subsequent mode control signals, has its output invaried even if the condition of the control circuit is varied, thereby to generate no chattering. If, on the other hand, the capacitor 108 is charged through a transistor 102 in response to time delay signals necessary for mode change, the FF 75 to 77 are reset and the auto-reverse to a preset mode is effected through the decoder released from its retained condition so that the auto-reverse control can be accomplished stably with the use of a circuit which can be easily integrated with a reduced number of capacitors.
