CONSTITUTION:Films 5a, 5b of magnetic substance are formed by vacuum evaporation or the like so as to cover the recording-reproducing gaps 1a, 1b at the two side faces 3a, 3b of an annular magnetic head having a recording medium opposing face 2. At the writing with such magnetic head, the magnetic flux leaking through the gaps 1a, 1b and giving adverse influence to the tracks adjoining to both sides of the specified write track is prevented. In addition, the magnetic flux entering through the gaps 1a, 1b from the tracks adjoining to the specified read track is prevented at the time of reproduction.
