Abstract
PURPOSE:To adjust the frequency of oscillator without changing the frequency versus temperature performance, by providing the switch at the oscillating part of the piezoelectric oscillator such as GT plate. CONSTITUTION:The weight 5 for frequency adjustment is placed near the center of the oscillating part 2 of the oscillator 1 in which the oscillating part 2, support 3 and the bridge part 4 connecting the both are formed incorporatedly. Thus, by providing the weight 5 at the oscillating part 2 of the oscillator 1, the oscillating frequency of the oscillator 1 is changed with the effect of the mass and the oscillating frequency of the oscillator 1 is adjusted by changing the mass and area of the weight 5. In adusting the frequency, the frequency is dacreased in advance, the mass of the weight 5 and area are gradually changed with etching, mechanical machining and laser etc., allowing to match to the desired frequency. It is recommended that the weight 5 mentioned above has the rectangular shape given by the same side ratio as that of the oscillating part 2.
