Abstract

PURPOSE: To convey a panel in high accuracy to predetermined position by a conveying apparatus having a vacuum cup by enabling to secure a stopper at any position.
CONSTITUTION: A stopper 29 is elevationally movably supported by a supporting cylinder 30 secured to a mounting plate 22. A clamping mechanism 35 is provided at every stopper 29, and is rotatably secured pivotally at one end thereof via a screw 36 to a stator 37 with a cylinder 39 simultaneously operated through a linkage 38 at the respective stators 37. The plate 22 is lowered, the stopper 29 is made contact with the surface of a panel 11, and is secured by the mechanism 35. Then, a vacuum cup 41 is evacuated to attract the panel 11 therewith. Since a plurality of stoppers 29 clamp the panel 11 even if the latter is pulled up, they do not alter the position.
