Abstract
PURPOSE: A dispersing agent for finely pulverized coal in oil capable of giving a mixed fuel of coal and oil having improved stability and fluidity for a lone time, comprising a metal salt of a dialklyl sulfosuccinate and a ≥6C aliphatic carboxylic acid.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of (A) 30W60 wt.% of finely pulverized coal having an average particle size ≤ 100μ, and (B) 40W70wt.% of a fuel oil, and (C) 0W 20 wt.% of water is incorporated with (D) 0.01W10 wt.% of a mixture of (a) a metal salt of a dialkyl sulfosuccinate of formula (R1 and R2 are ≥4C, preferably 6W12C alkyl groups; n is an integer 1W3; M is an n-valent metal, particularly Li, K, Na, or Ca) and (b) a ≥6C, preferably 6W18C aliphatic carboxylic acid, e.g. caproic, lauric acids, etc. at a molar ratio of (b) to (a) of 0.01W3, at 50W 150°C.
