Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect the surface of steel from flawing by sliding steel while scattering or after scattering a fusing agent or a lubricant on the steel supporting surface of skid or extracting furnace floor. CONSTITUTION:The coating boxes 10 of the same number as that of the skid 1 are used. The boxes 10 are inserted one by one every 4 to 5 steel materials and supported on steel material by the flanges 11 and 12 provided on the front and rear sides. A fusing agent or a lubricant is filled in the groove 13 perforated vertically and scattered onto the surface of skid. The fusing agent or lubricant used is a material whose softening point or melting point is lower than the temperature of the heating furnace, e.g., a casting agent for ingot manufacture, a molding agent, a powdered refractory, a glass, a flux, etc.
