CONSTITUTION: A grid spacer 3 provided with grid elements 2 in which a great many fuel elements 1 are inserted, is set up at the inner part of a wrapper tube 1. The grid spacer 3 is formed by the outer frame 4 of a hexagon, and is supportted by a top end part 8 of supporting frames 5, 6 which is spot welded on the inner surface of the wrapper tube. By such means, the tie rod which is necessary for supporting grid spacer, becomes unnecessary and the thermal loss is reduced.
