Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable optimum picture recording current values to be readily set by subsequently generating the picture recording currents of various levels so as to correspond to the regions of reproduction picture images and selecting and fixing these.
CONSTITUTION: An input video signal 1a ia made to an RF signal 1b with a modulator 1, and is then supplied to a regulator 2 consisting of five attenuators 2-1 thru 5 of respectively different set levels, from which it enters a selector 3 as signals 2a1 thru 2a5. On the other hand, a vertical synchronizing signal 4a is inputted to a controller 4 and the signals 4b1 thru 4b5 having been synchronized to this are supplied to a driving circuit 5. Since the output signals 7a1 thru 7a5 of a setter 7 consisting of switches 6-1 thru 5 connecting to a power source Vcc are inputted to the circuit 5, the circuit 5 supplies the signals 5a1 thru 5a5 to the selector 3 according to the two kinds of these signals. Hence, either one of the signals 2a1 thru 2a5 is selected with the selector 3, after which the switch of the setter 7 corresponding to this is turned ON. This enables the optimun image recording current to be readily set.
