Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an observer from feeling uncomfortable without increasing the brightness of scanning discharge and generating leakage and flicker of scanning discharge by charging the capacity added to the second electrode before every scanning of the first electrode and performing scanning discharge by this charged voltage.
CONSTITUTION: Plural cathodes are successively scanned to apply the display discharge voltage to prescribed anodes of plural anodes intersecting cathode electrodes and cause these anode to discharge.
