Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a heat accumulating tank, formed with a plurality of tank units connected in series and sparated respectively by means of a partition wall, which is arranged such that hot water or cold water may flow uniformly through said plurality of tank units.
CONSTITUTION: At an upper and a lower portions of each partition wall a1, a2, a3 and so on, there are formed respectively upper communication ports P1, P2, P3 and so on and lower communication ports q1, q2, q3 and so on, which are provided respectively with a valve that can be opened or closed selectively. In the above arrangement, when hot water or cold water is passed through tank units U1, U2, U3 and so on, successively, upper and lower communication ports formed in the partition walls of tank units, having a definite temperature difference between adjacent two tank units, are selectively opened or closed under suitable control.
