Abstract
PURPOSE: To monitor insulation of cable during transmission, by connecting direct current measuring instrument or direct current electric source device, among shield of the cable and the earth, and measuring current which is transmited here.
CONSTITUTION: Shield of cable 7' which is not under measurement is dropped on the earth, direct current current measuring instrument 8' or direct current electric source device 11 is connected among shield of cable 6' which is under measurement and the earth. Electric current which was leaked thrpugh insulator of cable to be measured is read by the direct current measuring instrument 8'. Even though the positions of the direct current electric source device 11 and the direct current measuring instrument 8' would be exchanged, electric current which is corresponded to the gratitude of insulation resistance of the cable body to be measured can be measured.
