Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide flexibility in the stator coil head and facilitate its insertion in a core by forming the stator coil into a hexagon shape while a spacer is held between the conductors of the stator coil head.
CONSTITUTION: When a hexagon type coil 10 is manufactured by winding an insulation coated conductor 9, the head 11 of the coil 10 is wound by inserting a proper spacer 12 between the conductors 9. After this hexagon type coil 10 is molded by a molding machine, the spacer 12 is removed and space is left at the conductors of the molding coil head and the coil is insulated removing this head 14. Then, the coil is inserted in the core. After coil insertion, an insulating spacer is inserted in the space 15 and head 14 is insulated. This permits flexibility to be held in the coil head and facilitate coil insertion work when coils are inserted.
