Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the exhausting amount of bad smell to the outside of the system of drying processes by absorbing the bad smell generated in the drying process of sludge by means of the substance generated after the chemical change of bad smell ingredients.
CONSTITUTION: In a stage 1, sludge materals 5 and dring materials 6 are thrown in, and the sludge materials is started to be dried by air 11. On the other hand, microorgranisms are mixed together with drying materials 6, and starts to propagate. As the air 11 passes through this stage 1, it takes in inorganic compounds like a bad smell ingredient NH3 and so on, nitric organisms and others. In the stage 1, NH3 is generated as the protein in the original materials is resolved, while the NH3 is changed biochemcally into NO3' or NO2' by the work of nitrifying germs at the exit of the stage 1. In a stage 2, NH3 conveyed by air 12 is absorbed chemically into strong basic oxides of NO3' and NO2', and a great part of bad small ingredients in the gas is rapidly reduced in its density to be discharged as air 13.
