Abstract
PURPOSE: To always decrease an induced current, prevent the temperature rise and easily short-circuit an abnormal current to the ground, by connecting in series with the overhead earth wire a circuit whose impedance falls when an abnormal heavy current flows.
CONSTITUTION: Insulators 13 are provided between anchor clamps 11 and the top 1a of pylon so that current flows through jumpers 12. A horn gap G and high resistance members R1 made of, for instance, steel alloy are connected to the jumpers 12. The horn gap G is coupled in parallel with the high resistance members R1. The impedance is raised by the high resistance members R to always restrict the induced current. When the abnormal current flows for a short time, the abnormal heavy current flows through the horn gap G and the relative impedance is lowered. Thereby, the ground short-circuit current can be easily conducted.
