Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve frequency-temperature characteristic to enlarge an electromechanical coupling coefficient by changing the cut bearing of a vibrator. CONSTITUTION:In a rotary X cut LiTaO3 plate indicated by (XYl)theta, the range of theta is defined as 8 deg.<¦theta¦<14 deg.. Therefore, frequency change factor DELTAf/fe in the range from 0 deg. to 50 deg. is approximately 6x10<-4> for X cut, however, it is approximately 1x10<-4> for (XYl)10 deg.-rotated X cut. Electromechanical coupling coefficient K is approximateely 0.47 for X cut, however, it is approximately 0.4 to 0.43 for rotated X cut.
