Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of curving, etc. of images by controlling the phase of the horizontal synchronizing signal to be inserted with the detection cue signal at the joint end part of reproduction video signal.
CONSTITUTION: The rotating phase of a rotary head 1 is detected with a phase detecting head and is applied to a switching circuit 9 by way of a delay circuit 7 formed with a monostable multi which determines the joint start phase where the reproduction video signal interrupts and a plulse generator 8 which determines the joint period. This causes the cue signal at the joint end to control a sample holding circuit 15 by way of a demodulator 4, circuit 9, delay circuit 16, etc. On the other hand, the output of a phase compensation circuit 13 corresponding to the phase difference between the horizontal synchronizing signal of the reproduction signal in APC 14 and the saw tooth wave corredponding to the horizontal synchronizing period which a voltage control oscillator outputs by a phase comparator 11 is held in the circuit 15 and the horizontal synchronizing signal synchronized to the horizontal synchronizing signal of the reproduction signal by a phase shifter 18 and horizontal pulse generator 19 is inserted into the blanking period of the joint by way of a synchronizing signal inserting circuit 21, whereby image curving is prevented.
