Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the change in phrases against changes in the number of touched keys on the way of performance by letting plural sets of pattern information be stored in correspondence to the number of assigned tones and producing the assigned tones according to the selected pattern information.

CONSTITUTION: When the value of an arpeggio pattern signal AP is "3" at a certain sound production timing, the 3rd switch S₅ when counted from the low tone side out of key switches S₁, S₃, S₅ is selected in a signal selection circuit 5. In a hold circuit 6, only the key-ON signal thereof is held. When a new hold command is produced from the circuit 5, the old signal is cleared and only one tone is held in the circuit 6, and therefore the tone corresponding to that switch becomes the arpeggio signal to be sounded, producing the musical tone corresponding to the pitch of the switch having been held. Since in this way one tone in the arpeggio constitution tones is subsequently selected and sounded according to the patterns, the change in phrases may be prevented despite the change in the number of touched keys during performance.
