Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to form a air supply hole of small area reamarkably easily and reliably without use of a drill and without deteriorating the rigidity of the parts constituting a static pressure bearing.
CONSTITUTION: Annular members 25 and 26, which have their inner and outer diameters and end faces precision finished, are press-fitted between annular housing member 21 and a shaft member 24 which are formed with an annular groove 23 communicating with a high pressure air supply hole 22. A static pressure bearing surface 32 of fine clearance 30 is formed between the annular members 25 and 26 and the shaft member 24. The annular groove 23 of the housing 21 and the fine clearance 30 are made to have communication through a round groove 27, which is formed at the end face of one annular member 26, a fine radial groove 28 having communication with the groove 27, and a air supply hole formed in the end face of the other annular member 25.
